Arbitrum FAQs

What is Arbitrum and how does Ethereum improve?

Arbitrum is a second-layer scaling solution for Ethereum, based on Optimistic Rollups technology. Its main objective is to improve the capacity of the Ethereum network to process transactions faster and with lower costs, without compromising security. Arbitrum pools multiple transactions outside the Ethereum main chain and processes them efficiently, reducing gas fees and improving the execution speed of smart contracts. In addition, it uses an optimistic approach, meaning that transactions are assumed to be valid by default, and their validity is only verified if any transaction is questioned.
